Comic-Con seems to be where it’s at for all the best gossip on the top US shows. Yesterday, the writer/producers of Lost, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse (right) took to the stage and in a frenzied question and answer session, let slip a few nuggets of information on the upcoming season 4.

The most excitement ensued when Harold Perrineau took to the stage; with rumours confirmed earlier in the week that he would be reprising his character Michael Dawson on the hit show. So what did they have to say to get all the fan boys excited? Read on.

Here are the most revealing morsels for us fans to muse over until they drive us crazy:

• There to be many more flashbacks and flash forwards.

• Jack and Claire will find out they’re related.

• Cuse: “What you saw with Jack and Kate was not the end of the show. The show has never really been about getting off the Island…There’s this whole chapter of the story that takes place off the Island.”

• When welcoming Perrineau onto the stage, Damon remarked that “Harold is the first and only actor who has left the show as part of a grander design to come back.”

• Cuse: “It’s our intention to get to Libby’s story this year, and we think you will be happy when we finish that.” When questioned by a member of the crowd whether she worked Dharma, Damon responded “You’re not barking up the wrong tree.”

• And what of the mysterious monster? Damon: “The whole deal with the monster will definitely be answered.”

And with that they broadcast a teaser trailer that by many accounts was barely audible; such was the excitement amongst the crowd. The all-too-short tape focussed on the Dharma Initiative and briefly mentioned the puzzling Jacob. And that was it. Nothing else. MORE PEOPLE – GIVE US MORE!
